DEI or DUI? A guide for the perplexed

If you are like me, a little “weird”, you are probably wondering just what DEI is all about.  And the acronym keeps shifting, as new “oppressed” classes are found almost daily.  So here is a very thoughtful “Catholic” explanation of the philosophical underpinnings, deeply rooted in the Marxist class struggle. Awake not Woke   Continue reading DEI or DUI? A guide for the perplexed

Johannistag

In the Catholic calendar, June 24th is the Feast Day of St. John the Baptist. The opera composer Richard Wagner builds Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg around the day before, June 23rd, as well as the actual feast day.  Praise to St. John In thinking about that day, and the baptism of Jesus, I came across a photo of the supposed location on the Jordan River of the actual baptismal act, which almost immediately (it is Sunday after all) lead me to recount how I had been there myself.  I had even taken photos of the site as part of a project I was … Continue reading Johannistag

The Truth Will Set You Free. But First, It Will Make You Miserable!

“The truth will set you free” (Jn 8:32). The original article describes the new Satanism almost as a fusion cuisine. It contain blood. synthesized ideas from establishment recipes, and a … Continue reading The Devil in Plain Sight (Continued)

The Devil in Plain Sight

“Let’s Play Satan” The above link is to an article which appeared in the January 5, 2018 edition of the Los Angeles Times. The article’s title certainly got my attention, but then again it did appear under the “Entertainment” heading. However, the title got the better of me, and so I read it. To see why it was classified as “entertainment” is probably a stretch for most of us. With the description of a ritual at the anything-but-proverbial witching hour involving a male “blood smeared and stripped down to nearly “sky-clad’” who was offered up “in service to the goddess … Continue reading The Devil in Plain Sight
